Run Timer

Privacy Policy — Last updated 19 August 2026

What data we collect

Run Timer collects no personal data and has no user accounts. All workout history and settings are stored locally on your device only.

Location

If you enable Distance Mode, the app uses your device GPS to measure distance during a run interval. Location data is processed on-device in real time and is never transmitted to any server.

Advertising

The free version of the app shows ads served through Appodeal, a mediation platform that works with Google AdMob and other partner ad networks. These networks may collect device identifiers (such as advertising ID) and IP address to serve relevant ads, in accordance with Appodeal's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. Users in the EEA/UK are shown a consent prompt on first launch, and can review or change their ad privacy choices at any time via Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can remove ads entirely with a one-time in-app purchase.

Analytics & crash reporting

The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to help us understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. These services collect anonymised usage data such as screen views and crash reports. No personally identifiable information is sent.

In-app purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by the Google Play Store. Run Timer does not process or store any payment information.

Permissions

Data retention

All data (workout history, settings) lives on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it entirely. We have no server-side copy.
