What Tadh is

Tadh is a third-party client for the Bluesky social network, built on the open AT Protocol. Tadh does not operate its own social network or account system — you sign in with your existing Bluesky account, and your posts, follows, likes, and messages are stored by Bluesky's own servers (your Personal Data Server, or PDS), not by us.

What data we collect

Tadh has no user accounts or servers of its own for storing your content. The data that passes through infrastructure we run, or is collected for advertising and app-improvement purposes, is:

Push notifications — to alert you to likes, replies, and messages, we run a self-hosted push relay that receives your Bluesky account identifier (DID) and your device's Firebase push token. It uses these only to route real-time notification events from the public Bluesky network to your device. We do not store the content of your posts or messages on this relay.
App usage analytics — Tadh uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand anonymised, aggregate app usage (e.g. which screens are used) and help us improve the app. We do not use crash reporting.
Advertising identifiers — the free version of Tadh shows ads delivered through an ad mediation platform (see Third-party services below), which collects your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID) and IP address, along with general device and app information, to select and measure ads. Purchasing Tadh Premium removes all advertising and this collection stops.

What stays on your device

Your Bluesky session (login tokens), app settings (theme, text size, notification preferences), and a local cache of feed content are stored only on your device, using Android's standard app storage. Uninstalling Tadh removes all of it.

Third-party services

Bluesky / AT Protocol — all posts, profiles, follows, likes, and messages you view or create are sent directly to Bluesky's servers, governed by Bluesky's own Privacy Policy.
Firebase Cloud Messaging & Google Analytics for Firebase (Google) — deliver push notifications and anonymised usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Appodeal — the free version of Tadh shows ads delivered through Appodeal, an ad mediation platform that selects between multiple advertising networks (including Google AdMob) for each ad shown. Appodeal and its partner networks collect your advertising identifier and IP address to show and measure ads, and may use this to show personalised advertising. Users in the UK and European Economic Area are shown a consent prompt when the app first launches, and can change those choices at any time via Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices in the app. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised advertising entirely, via your Android device's own Settings → Privacy → Ads. Appodeal's privacy policy is at appodeal.com/privacy-policy; the full list of advertising partners authorised to sell our inventory is published at paddock-home.com/app-ads.txt. Purchasing Tadh Premium removes all advertising.
Google Play Billing — Premium subscription purchases are handled entirely by the Google Play Store. Tadh does not process or store any payment information.

Permissions

Internet — required to connect to Bluesky and load content.
Notifications — required to show push alerts for likes, replies, follows, and messages.

Tadh does not request location, contacts, camera, or broad storage access. Photo attachments use Android's built-in photo picker, which does not grant the app access to your wider photo library.

Data retention

We do not retain your posts, messages, or profile data on any server we operate. Push-routing data (your DID and device token) is held only for as long as push notifications remain enabled in the app, and is removed when you sign out or disable notifications.

Children

Tadh is not directed at children. Signing in requires an existing Bluesky account, and Bluesky's own terms require account holders to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the app. See our Child Safety Standards for more.

Your choices

You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings, filter adult content, block or mute accounts, and delete your Bluesky account entirely via bsky.app or a Bluesky-compatible client — this removes your data from Bluesky's servers, independent of Tadh. You can review or change your advertising consent at any time via Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices, or remove ads entirely with Tadh Premium.
